Beating My Personal Best ZWOW #3

Ugh. Today was tough.
First day on my diet. Journaled everything I put in my mouth. Even an icebreaker mint. lol. I am so hungry. I ended up having to do this workout late and it was the last thing I wanted to do. But I did it and I beat my time! Last time I did this I was done in 16 minutes and 53 seconds. This time I added weights to the first five 1-leg squats and I still was done in 14 minutes and 19 seconds!! 

This is how the workout goes:
5/5 Split Squat Jumps, 5/5 1-leg lunges, 5 Superman Push Ups, 5 Skaters
10/10 Split Squat Jumps, 10/10 1-leg lunges, 10 Superman Push Ups, 10 Skaters
15/15 Split Squat Jumps, 15/15 1-leg lunges, 15 Superman Push Ups, 15 Skaters
10/10 Split Squat Jumps, 10/10 1-leg lunges, 10 Superman Push Ups, 10 Skaters

Unfortunately, I was unable to take pictures. Jim was out in the shop. My kids were sleeping. So I had to manage without. :) But I will leave you with a picture of myself after this workout in all of my sweaty glory! 

Going to go shower and go to sleep before the urge to have a late night snack gets the best of me! 


Weigh In and 4 Week Pictures!!

Well, the time has come. 4 week weigh in and time for pictures! First off, weight. I gained. Right back up to where I started. 150 lbs. Awesome. Not really. I have decided that, while I notice a big difference in my muscle tone, I NEED to do something about my diet. I went grocery shopping and really paid attention to what I put in my cart. Lean meats, light snacks, lots of veggies. I am going to go hardcore on my food journal this week. And I might even start doing video diaries on my xercisingmommy channel. 

But, now, onto the pictures!

Hmmm.. I'm not seeing a huge difference in the last 2 weeks...My love handles seem to be a little smaller and I see a little more tone in my tummy...

Still not much of a change. :( My thigh looks a little smaller and not such a chunky butt...Tummy has a little more definition.

Picture is a little blurry but I'm seeing a difference in my butt and love handle area. Yay!

Ok. I see a difference here, thank God! My saddle bags and my cheeks are getting smaller (and seem to be lifted a bit too!).  :) It doesn't look so boxy anymore...

So all and all, I'm not as happy as I'd like to be with my progress. Hopefully this diet will help things move faster. I hate diets though, so I'm going to need all of the support I can get! Thanks and good luck!

ZWOW #15


So I did not get a chance to blog the past few days, but I definitely did the ZWOW #15 on Friday! I was so excited for the new routine! Unfortunately, I did not work out on Saturday or today. Saturday was very busy. I had absolutely no time to work out, literally. But today I could have made time. I just didn't. And I feel crappy about it. I was on a roll with cleaning and organizing and I just put it off until it was too late. So this is the first time since I started that I skipped 2 days in a row!! Ugh. And tomorrow is weigh in and new pictures! Yikes. We'll see how that goes. My diet has not been spectacular either but it hasn't been too bad...

On a more positive note; I beat Zuzana's time on the last workout!!!! She used 15 lb. weights and mine were 8 lbs. so I'll cut her some slack. :) 

The workout consisted of:
10 Ground To Overheads
10/10 Single Leg Weighted Squats
10 Skull Crushers
10 V.Ups
10 180 Lateral Jump Burpees

5 Rounds for time

My time was 25 minutes and 43 seconds! Yay!!! Those 180 Lat. Jump Burpees were crazy! Here is the link to the workout:

Beating My Personal Best ZWOW #2!

Goin' back to #2!

This is the workout:
5 Man Makers
20 Low Burpees
10 Twisted Push Ups
25 Competition Sit Ups

3 Rounds for time.

So...Last time I did this workout my time was 18 minutes and 23 seconds. Today I beat my personal best and did it in 17 minutes and 16 seconds! Woo hoo!!! I also started a food journal today. I hate it. I hate diets. I love food. I want to snack constantly. BUT writing it all down definitely makes a difference. I look at my journal and think, " I really want to have to write down that I ate another piece of chocolate? NO!" and then I don't eat it. See how that works? :) I am also obsessed with a show I found on Netflix called "Ruby" about a morbidly obese but beautiful woman who goes on a diet and loses hundreds of pounds. Seriously, if she can curb her cravings so can I !

Beating My Personal Best! ZWOW #1!


Well, Zuzana has not come out with ZWOW #15 yet, so I went back to the first one and my goal was to beat my personal best in time.

If you don't remember, when I did this the last time, I had an inflamed rib cage (or something like that, lol). So I had skipped the push up in the burpees. This time I did all of the push ups and I still beat my time! :) I had to modify the dive bombers. I was able to do about 2 normal ones and then I had to get down to my knees. I only had to modify my burpee push ups on the last round by doing them on my knees. If you don't know what I'm talking about here is the link to the workout!

My time about 3 weeks ago: 26 Minutes and 45 seconds
My time today: 21 minutes and 45 seconds
Let me just add that Zuzana's time was 24 minutes and 3 seconds!! I beat her!! BUT I did sissy dive bombers and I certainly don't go down as low as she does for my pistol squats. Still pretty damn exciting!!!

So pretty happy about tonight's work out! I had a busy day and I still fit it in. I skipped making dinner, since my kids aren't here, just so I could get this work out in. When Jim came home and was forced to fend for himself, you would have thought he never stepped foot into a kitchen before. Jeez. LOL.

ZWOW #14

Well, hello.
I have to say, there were about 4 different times I thought I was going to give up during this particular work out. But I stuck it out! 

10 Push Press
10 Thrusters
10 Back Curl Lunges
10 Preacher Curls
10 Weighted Lunge Jumps
10 Broad Jump Burpees
5 Rounds for time!
I used 8 lb. weights and was able to do 5 rounds in 22 minutes and 18 seconds! Here is the link to the workout I did:
