Zwow #31

Hey!

I'm going to make this a quick post because its 10:40 p.m. and I have to get up early tomorrow, but I got my workout in tonight. I would have liked there to have been less of a gap in days since my last workout but its not too bad. I've been busy, of course. :/ I made myself sit down and watch Zwow #31 and that usually is enough motivation to get me moving. So here is the link to the workout I did: Circuit Sweat!

This workout consisted of:
10 Push Ups
20 Competition Burpees
30 Jump Squats
40 Mountain Climbers
50 Sit ups

3 Rounds for time.

I managed to do 3 rounds in 25 minutes and 58 seconds. This was a tough one! I like the way Zuzka does sit ups. When you roll up and roll down, you are less tempted to strain your neck. The Competition Burpees kicked my ass. Burpees  of any caliber always kick my ass. lol.

Here are some pics!

Zwow 30!

Hey!

I had a full day of school today, came home, ate dinner and did Zwow #30!! Tonight was a "beat your best" workout. Basically, Zuzana went all the way back to the very first Zwow and tried to beat her time. Since I took quite a hiatus I was considering skipping this and moving on to the next workout, but then I thought, "hey, why not". I do remember doing this workout in the past and every time I do it I think that it is probably the hardest one she has! But, I broke out my WarriorZ shirt and got to work anyway! And, I DID beat my old time!!

This work out consisted of:
10 Divebombers
5 Burpees
40 Alt. Squat Leg Lifts
5 Burpees
10/10 Side Plank Lifts
5 Burpees
10/10 Pistol Squats
5 Burpees

3 Rounds for time.
Last time it took me 26 minutes and 45 seconds. Today it took me 24 minutes and 24 seconds!! Woot! I will tell you though that I am not strong enough to do regular divebombers throughout the whole thing. I quickly switched from full on to only going about half way down and eventually switched to doing them on my knees. The Burpees were killer especially after 10 Divebombers. Ouch! My arms! I also modify the pistol squats by not going down as far as Zuzana. I go down as far as I can, but nowhere near Zuzka!! :) She's superwoman.

Anyway, I worked out in the basement today in what used to be the playroom, so sorry for the drab decor and (ew) dirty floor. LOL. And, again, the lighting sucks. But its the best I can do until the weather gets warmer and I can start doing these outside!

Here are some pics!

Zwow #29

Well, I did it. My knees are weak and my legs are shaking but I did it!!!

Here is a link to the workout I did:
Zwow 29

This workout was titled Brutal Burpees and consisted of:
5 Alt. Pistol Squats
50 Side Hops
10 Plank Row Knee Tucks
10 180-Burpees

As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes.

I managed to do 3 full rounds which I was pleasantly surprised with. :) After going over 3 months without a structured workout, I was expecting worse. I was able to do all of the push ups, during the burpees, without doing any on my knees too! I was worried I wouldn't even be able to do 1 proper push up. LOL!

I am including some pics but I have to explain. I tried to solve my lighting problem by just working out outside and dressing really warm.

I quickly realized that this was not going to work. My fingertips were numb and there is a snowmobile trail behind me. It was really busy today. With the bare trees, they can see me really good and, well, that's embarrassing. Also, I didn't want to take the risk of having my muscles cramp up because of the cold temperatures. So I moved it into the shop.

The shop has heat but we have not been using it much so it was cold but not nearly as cold as the outside. I was able to take off my jacket and mittens...and by the end had ripped off the hat and was close to tearing off my shirt. Yeah, it was an intense workout. LOL!

Here are some pics of the exercises. (And, of course, I apologize for the crappy lighting and the disaster that is Jim's golf room.)

There you have it! Tomorrow is Wednesday. I'm planning on having Wednesdays off because I work after school on Wednesdays and Sundays...BUT, since I'm just starting I might do #30 tomorrow. The only time I could do it is in the morning and I am a horrible morning person...so we'll see. If I'm not here tomorrow I will be here Thurday for sure! So excited to get back into shape!! I hope you'll join me on my journey! Good luck!

A New Year, A New Beginning

Well, hey guys and gals! Guess what my New Year's Resolution is!

I have been so busy but I'm so ready to sit down and schedule time to work out again. I feel out of shape and my jeans aren't fitting right. Ack! So its time to get back into it. I haven't been completely lazy, of course.  :) I am going to Cosmetology school full time now, working part time and juggling family time too. But I need to follow my own advice and tell myself you have 15 minutes a day. These workouts are not long. Intense, but short. So today, being a day off, is leaving me with no excuses to not get my butt out there!

I am trying to find a good spot to do my workouts. As I paged through my blog posts here, I loved the fact that I was able to do them outside. Well, its January in Wisconsin so I need to come up with another solution. I could go old school and work out in the shop like I used to. Remember my videos on my xercisingmommy youtube channel? :) It just seems the lighting is horrible everywhere I go! Nothing beats natural lighting. And I don't like posting blogs without pictures. That's boring and the pictures help me (and you!) see results and progress! One thing I also noticed in my last posts was how freakin' tan I was! lol. I can definitely say that is no longer. Oh well.

So with that said I'm going to leave you with pictures of some of the things I've been up to and I'll talk to you soon with my results of ZWOW #29! Lets do this!
