ZGym Lifted Butt Series 8 and 9!

I got a little off track last week due to a crazy work schedule. So today I did the Lifted Butt Series 8 and 9. 

After doing #8 I was still super energetic so I brought up #9 and got right to it. By the end of the Yoga workout in #9, I was dying. My legs and booty were burning!! Great workouts though and I'm feeling so much better now that I got to work out again. 

Lifted Butt Series 8 consisted of :
10 Curtsy Lunge Knee Ups (Each Leg)
20 Elevated Hip Thrusts
10 Kick Over Chair and Back Lunges (Each Leg)
30 Crab Toe Touches

12 Minutes-As Many Reps As Possible!

I did 3 Full rounds! Yep. I beat Zuzka. ;)

Lifted Butt Series #9 was Yoga so I followed right along with her. The stationary lunges were killer but the Modified Pigeon Stretches at the end felt awesome!

Today was really exciting at work because I did my first Wellness Consultation on a guest and got her on a 30 Candida program. Really excited to see someone get on a healthier track! Can't wait to see where this takes her!

ZGym Lifted Butt Series #7

For the last two days, I have been attending nutrition classes at my work through M'lis. I am being trained to give wellness consultations and to get people on the right track for a happier, healthier life. I am SO excited! I can't believe how quickly it went by but it was so fun and such an honor to be taught by the owner of M'lis, herself, Dr. Linda Nelson! It was also great to work with the person who first trained me in Chicago to do wraps, Roni!

As soon as I got home, I did the Lifted Butt Series #7!

This workout consisted of: 
20 Cross Sumo Squats
20 Kettleball Swings
20 Cross Sumo Squats
15 1-Leg Deadlifts each leg
20 Cross Sumo Squats
10 Step Ups w/Leg Extenstion
10 1-Leg Deadlift followed by Step Up w/Leg Extension

2 Rounds for time!

I did this workout in 17 Minutes and 55 Seconds!

I also add 25 upper body crunches, 25 lower body crunches, 25 twist crunches and 10 Push ups!

Feeling great! AND! Guess what tomorrow is?! Picture day! Time to see how I've done the past 2 weeks. So tomorrow you will get to see my before pictures as well as my 2 week progress pics!

ZGym Lifted Butt Series #6!


Loved this workout! The dolphin kicks were awesome! I could feel every muscle in my leg tensed! I feel great!

ZWOW 101 and ZShred 32!

Hey guys! I'm a little behind on posting workouts but I'm still keeping up with doing them, so I am going to combine the last 2 workouts in this post. :)

ZWOW 101 consisted of :
10 Backward/Forward Lunges each leg
20 Side Crunches (5 at a time and switching to other side)
20 Side Jump Lunges
20 Reverse Plank Knee Tucks
20 Second V-Hold

4 Rounds for time.
I completed 4 rounds in 20 minutes and 11 seconds!

I loved the Reverse Plank Knee Tucks and the V-Hold! They were hard but such an awesome exercise to strengthen your core!

I do not have pictures from Zshred 32 but the workout consisted of:

1 Minute Jump Rope (High Knees)
15 1-Leg Kettleball Deadlifts each leg
1 Minute Jump Rope (High Knees)
20 Sit Ups/Kettleball
1 Minute Jump Rope (High Knees)
10 Touch Kettleball Push Ups

2 Rounds for time. 

I did 2 rounds in 17 minutes and 16 seconds! (I couldn't find my jump rope so I just did high knees in place.)

I have to tell you all that I am feeling great. I can already see and feel a difference in my muscles. My legs especially! I'm actually excited to take my post 2 week pictures...Coming up soon! We'll see. Thanks everyone, for following along! Have fun and good luck!

ZGym Butt Lift Series #5!

Great workout tonight! I felt really good during this workout. Maybe not even challenged enough. But we'll see if I'm saying that tomorrow when I feel the after effects. :)

Jim was working on some things in the workout room since its not quite finished. After seeing me struggle to take my own pictures, setting the timer, positioning the camera, he finally asked if I could use some help. Yay! So Jim took my pictures tonight. They turned out much better and I don't look like a dear in headlights in every pic. haha.

This workout consisted of:
20 Side Jump Lunges
12 Back Lunge 1/2 Pistol Squat
20 Sumo Squat Jump Leg Lift
20 Hip Thrust/Sit Ups
20 Kneeling Leg Lifts

2 Rounds for time.

I managed to do 2 rounds in 18 minutes and 2 seconds. I'm not too impressed with my time but I'll do better next time, I guess. :)

ZGym Butt Lift Series #4

Well, hey there.

I am finally on schedule with Zuzka's weekly plan on her ZGym. Well, kind of. Tomorrow I will be. :) I'm doing #5 tonight because I took yesterday off instead of today. I needed to because I may have pulled a muscle in my butt with this last one (#4). LOL! 

One thing I did not realize is on the weekly schedule, she has you do other workouts besides the butt ones! Which is great, because I was starting to feel like I wasn't doing enough exercises to target other body parts. I'm still getting used to the ZGym but I think I finally get it now! 

So this last workout consisted of:
20 Kettleball Swings
12 1-Leg Elevated Lunges
20 Kettleball Swings
10 Curtsy Lunges w/ Side Step Ups (each leg)
20 Kettleball Swings
15 Squat/Deadlift Combos

2 Rounds for time.
I used 15 lbs for my weight.

Well, I forgot to time it. oops... But I did get pictures!
I have to apologize for the crappy quality though. I'm still trying to figure out the lighting in this room. Hopefully, when I get my new camera I'll get some better pics for you! Here they are anyway!

I was feeling really good at the end of this workout, so I added 100 crunches, 10 Push Ups and 10 Side Bends on each side w/ 20 lbs.

I also want to add that I always have my ipod on shuffle while I work out and during this workout, this song came on.

Best workout song ever! Hands Down! haha! Love it!

ZGym Butt Lift Series #3

Yoga! I LOVED this workout! But, it was a little too easy. So I added 100 crunches and 10 Push ups. Although, my butt and legs are my problem areas, I feel like my other muscles are getting deprived. So it felt good to add the little bits of ab and arm work too. 

This workout consisted of a lot of yoga poses and lunges. I did it right along with Zuzka. Only one picture today, but its a good one.

You see, Jim has been building a room in the basement for the past few months and this has given me a space to workout comfortably. He decided to make it a workout/theater room by adding some easy chairs and a huge screen with projector. Here is the pic he took of me working out with Zuzka yesterday.

Love it!! The chairs have bluetooth hooked up to them so I can listen to my music the whole time! The surround sound speakers are a huge plus too! ;) I hope you all had a great workout and a happy Easter!

ZGym Butt Lift Series #2 (and clean eating!)


I am posting this a couple days late but I did not skip any workouts. I did #2 the day after I did #1 and gave myself yesterday off, as scheduled. Today I will be doing Butt Lift #3. But first I wanted to tell you how I did on the 2nd workout!

It consisted of:
10 Forward/Backward Lunges on each leg
20 Side to Side Hop Squats
20 Butt Lifts/1 Leg Lifts
20 Curtsy Lung Leg Lifts
20 Plank Jacks
4 Sets of Competition Burpees and 5 Sumo Squat Jumps
20 Mini Sumo Squats

2 rounds, cutting the reps in half for the second round.

I finished in 17 minutes and 17 seconds.

I also wanted to share with you some of the diet I've been following as well. This is the type of breakfast I have before my workout:
Whole grain bread (no refined flour!) with honey soy-nut butter and Lemon Ginger tea!
And then I drink a whole lot of this:

Why Smart Water? Because its distilled. The purest type of water. Distilled water is great for your body and it has detoxifying agents to it as well. :)

Today I treated myself to another Detox Contour wrap with an Alpha Capsule massage after to stimulate my lymphatic system. I am feeling great! Time to go do Butt Lift #3!!!
