ZWOW #17

Happy Mother's Day!!


Well, I pounded out the new ZWOW last night and let me tell you, today, My back and shoulders are so sore!! Those wall walks were incredible! Here is the link to the workout I did:

Seriously, you've got to check this one out. Zuzana had tears at the end of it! :) The workout consisted of:


5 Wall Walk
10/10 Wall Lunges
15/15 Plank Wall Touches
20/20 Wall Sit With March
As many rounds as you can in 12 Minutes


I was on my third round of Plank Wall Touches when my timer went off. I got to 5 Plank Wall Touches. So, not quite 3 rounds but more than 2! Best part about it, that is about as far as Zuzana got! She was at 13 Plank Wall Touches when her time was up!! Yay!

Food Journal (5-11-12)

Good morning!


Yesterday I ate good, but we had a really busy evening so my dinner was quick which, in turn, made me hungry when we got back home. :( So I snacked at night. I was STARVING! LOL. Anyway, here's what I ate.


9:30
1 Tall skinny Vanilla Latte (Starbucks)
1 Egg white and spinach wrap (Starbucks)


12:30
1 Wheat bagel (toasted) w/ slice of Habanero Jack cheese and tomato slice
1 1/2 Cups of low fat cottage cheese
12 Black berries


3:15
16 oz. Coffee w/ 1 cream and 1 sugar


5:00
1 Serving of whole wheat spaghetti w/ground turkey marinara sauce


8:25
1 Bowl Total cereal
10 Special K Cracker Chips (Sea salt)

I also drank 3 full 24 oz. cups of water.


I did not have time to do the new ZWOW, so I look forward to doing that tonight. We are celebrating Mother's Day weekend by heading out to a Park on a Bay off of Lake Michigan. They've got a great playground! It also has a beach even though its a bit too cold to swim. :) The part I'm really looking forward to are the nature trails. The girls and I made up a nature hunt list of things to find on our hike! Should be fun! I hope you all have a great day!

Beating My Personal Best ZWOW #8

Hello!


Sorry I'm getting this up so late! This is the workout I did yesterday!

The workout consists of:
10 Forward Backward Squat Jumps
10 Dragon Lunge Backs
10 Toe Touch Jump Ups
10/10 Side Plank Leg Lifts


6 Rounds for time


Last time, I did this workout in 20 minutes and 3 seconds. I did not beat my time. :( BUT! I'm ok with that. Last time, I only used an 8 lb. weight during the Dragon Lunge Backs. This time I use 20 lbs....that's right...20 lbs!! I'm noticing such a difference when I add more weight! Its crazy! My time last night was 20 minutes and 19 seconds. :) Pretty darn close.


I've noticed I still have a really hard time keeping form with the Side Plank Leg Lifts so I have to modify it a bit during the workout. I end up putting my other hand in front of me to balance myself, instead of on my hip. It works for me. Hopefully, someday I'll gain enough strength to do it the way Zuzana does it. In the pictures below, you will see me in correct form, but I just wanted to put that out there; that I am unable to keep that form throughout. Hey, I'm only human. :)

Food Journal (5-10-12)

Good Morning!


Here's what I ate yesterday!
9:30
1 Bowl of Total w/skim milk
16 oz. coffee (1 sugar, 1 cream)


11:45
1 Turkey burger on 8 grain Deli Flat w/lettuce and tomato
1 Serving of fresh, raw green beans
1 Cup low fat cottage cheese
10 Black berries


1:30
Fiber One bar
1 Banana


2:00
1 Cup of herbal tea


4:15
1 serving of chex mix


6:30
1 Wheat bagel (toasted) w/1 slice of Habanero Monterey Jack cheese and 1 tomato slice
2 Servings of veggie mix: Squash, zucchini, egg plant, orange peppers and mushrooms


I also drank 4 full 24 oz. cups of water!


That's it. I was really hungry when I went to bed! But I was proud of myself for not having a late night snack. :) I also did my workout so I will post that today as well! Have a great day!

Food Journal (5-9-12)

Good morning!


Here is what I ate yesterday:

1 Bowl of Total cereal w/skim milk
1 cup coffee w/organic vanilla soy milk


11:30
1 Bowl Progresso chicken noodle soup
1/2 Turkey sandwich on wheat w/light mayo, tomato and lettuce
1 Serving of Reduced Fat Wheat Thins


12:30
1 Cup of spiced herbal tea


2:00
1 1/2 Cups of lowfat cottage cheese
15 Blackberries


3:00
1 Cup of spiced herbal tea


5:00
1 Pear


5:45
1 Egg sandwich: 3 eggs, wheat bread, tomato and green peppers


2 servings of mixed veggies: zuchinni, squash, red peppers, egg plant and mushrooms




1 Banana


6:50
Fiber One Bar


I also managed to drink four 24 oz. cups of water.


For some reason, I felt really hungry today. I feel like I overate at Dinner time.  Although, it was the veggies I pigged out on so I guess its ok.. Anyway, today is a new day.


I also did not work out last night. I gave myself the night off. :) I will workout hard tonight though. :)

My Food Journal (5-8-12)

Here is everything that is written in my food journal today. Don't judge me. LOL! I'm not a professional nor am I perfect. :)

1 Cup of coffee with vanilla soy milk
1 Bowl of Total cereal w/ skim milk


9:25
1/2 Banana


11:00
1 Bowl of home-made white chicken chili w/ a little bit of shredded cheese on top.
1 Fat free Yoplait yogurt


12:35
1 Small can (5.5 fl. oz.) Spicy Hot V8
























1:30
1 Serving of Special K sea salt cracker chips


3:00
20 oz. Mocha (FAIL!)


5:45
2 Turkey burgers on 7 grain Deli flats w/ lettuce and light mayo.
1 serving of brussel sprouts
1 banana























8:20
1 serving of Wheat Thins (Reduced Fat)


8:45 
1 Cup of herbal tea


I drink water with every meal and keep track of how much I drink. I have these great cups that are 24 oz. each.






















Today I drank 4 full cups.

Beating My Personal Best ZWOW #7

Good evening!


ZWOW #7. I think I might have overdone it a bit. During the 3rd round of jump ropes I suddenly got light headed. Gah! So I took a 10 second break to catch my breath and clear my head.

This workout consisted of:
10 Jump Lunge Side Kicks
10 Super Girl Push Ups
2 minutes of Jump Rope
10 Side Bends w/weight on each side


3 rounds for time.


I finished it in 17 minutes and 58 seconds using 20 lb weights for the side bends. Last time I did it in 19 minutes and only used 8 lb. weights to do the side bends! I'm happy with that!


It started raining during my workout so you'll see that the last exercise pic was taken inside the shop. :)
