My Life... (Lots of pictures!!)

I last posted in March and I wanted to catch you all up on my life since then. :)

As most of you know, I am going to Paul Mitchell The School to earn my Cosmetology license. 

As of now, my graduation date is set for the beginning of November, depending on if I miss any hours or make up any hours. :) Although it keeps me busy, I have a ton of fun with my Paul Mitchell girls!

Ok. So that was a bit of picture overload but I seriously love these girls! They make school so much fun! 

Back to updates; I got a job at a high end day spa in my area!!! Right now I am the Spa Assistant and will soon be training to be a Service Desk Coordinator! I can't express how excited I am! This pretty much guarantees me a job after I get my license. I absolutely love it there!

I just checked the zuzkalight website and noticed that her workouts cost money now. :( So I will mainly stick with the free ones. There are 70 so that should be fine. I think her site is worth the money but I am trying my best to save right now. I have a wedding, school loans and my board certification all coming up. We are cutting out spending as much as we can.

Never Too Late To Start Again!

Well, here we are. About 3 months since my last post. :( So much is happening in my life right now, its hard for me to keep track. They are all good things, but I have this underlying "blah" feeling because I'm not taking care of myself like I used to. I still watch what I eat but I definitely give in to McDonald's more than I'd like to. And my tummy, butt and thighs are getting fatty. I haven't gained weight, but the muscle tone is diminishing. Ugh. How depressing. 

This weekend we went camping. We spent a lot of time on the beach. I didn't have the confidence I used to have. As I walked in the water I felt like everybody was gawking at my ass. Again, how depressing.

I need to set a schedule to start working out. I must have good muscle memory because once I start, I notice a difference. So time to start! I am subscribed to Bodyrocking MommieZ on Facebook and I am so inspired by their pictures and its about time I make my own "After pictures". 

Here's my dilemma; I go to school full time. I work part time and I have my kids every other week. I am also planning my wedding. I am so busy! By the time I get everything done for the day I just want to rest. Not workout. I have a hard time doing it in the morning, though, it is ideal. I feel like I don't have the energy or strength that I have in the evening. So I will have to literally schedule time in to workout. That, in itself, will give me more energy. 

So, here is my plan. I'm back on MyFitnessPal to record my calories. Its super easy and fast. Feel free to add me as a friend. The encouragement is always helpful!! Its an iphone app and my user name is pbmommypl.

I'm also getting back on the Zuzana band wagon because she is enormously inspirational for me and has been my mentor from the start. I hope to incorporate other fitness activities as well. I love to run and I haven't yet this year. Sad. I also got a new bike and have yet to take that out. Double sad. 

And as always, I will keep you updated on this blog. I feel like my last "before pictures" are obsolete because I think I've changed. Maybe its all in my head. But I will take new ones and post them with my two week update pictures. :)

Official "Before" Post. ZCut Power Cardio Series! (With Pictures)

Ok. So here it is.

My stats before ZCut.

Height: 5'10
Weight: 148.4 lbs
Waist: 30 inches
Arm: 11 inches
Leg: 23 1/2 inches

I have to admit. I'm not too torn up about my before pics. When I page back to my before pics in early April of last year I was in a lot worse shape. I think I look more today like I did in my "after 2 weeks of Zwow's" pictures. Click here to see the previous pics: Last Year!. This makes me pretty darn happy considering I'm starting earlier than last year and I've got a head start on my fitness as it is. BUT!!! There is still a lot of work. As you can see, my cellulite came back. Pesky cellulite. :( My lower body has always been my problem area and I know from past experience that muscle toning helps but does not get rid of cellulite. I need to watch my diet as well. And cardio is amazing for it as well. I've noticed in these DVD's there is a lot more cardio than on her youtube channel. Which is probably the reason its called Power Cardio. ha!

ZCut Cardio Series Day 2!

These are friggin' hard!!!

I love it though. I am sweating buckets by the end. 

In this workout the reps increase for each exercise. There was one where you had to do 10 high knees to a plank and right back up again for 60 reps!! Yes, six-friggin-ty!!! At about 6 reps I thought, "maybe she meant 6, cause I'm good." But nope. 60. I did it though. There is nothing like that feeling of accomplishment you get when you finish something you thought for sure you couldn't do. So thank you, Zuzka, once again for proving me wrong. I am kind of a superwoman. :) 

So I was able to do this workout in 21 minutes and 36 seconds!! I also took my measurements today. I, unfortunately, don't have my before picture up yet but hopefully by tomorrow I'll upload it. It ain't pretty. lol. 

My current measurements are:
Waist-30 inches
Arm-11 inches
Leg-23 1/2 inches

I'm curious to see how that changes week to week because I've always just taken pictures. I've never actually measured how many inches I lost. Anyway, its late and I need to get to bed!! Take care and good luck!

ZCut Cardio Series: Day 1!!!

Yes!! I started it! Finally! I'm starting a month later than I planned, but I started it nonetheless! :) 

About a month ago I fell hard on my tailbone ice skating and it took a long time to heal. I was so bummed that I couldn't start my workout but I stayed as active as possible. I cleaned the day after I hurt my tailbone and I was in tears because it hurt so bad! I work for a cleaning company and twice a week I clean a law office for 3 hours. I just took on two more jobs recently. The last 2 Sunday's I cleaned for 7 hours straight. Its good money and I get to pick my hours so I don't lose time with my kids! AND I get exercise while I do it! :)

Jim and I have finally booked our trip to Florida with the girls. We are going to Orlando the beginning of May! I'm so excited! BUT, that also means I will be wearing my bikini about a month before I planned on it. So I started to panic a little and decided to get my butt in gear. I also just got my belly button pierced so I need to get buff so I feel confident about showing it off! :)


Anyway, with that said, I started the ZCut Series today. I'm starting it with another girl at school so I'm excited to see how she did! I'm excited to see how you all are doing too! I'm going to start commenting on Zuzka's site as well. My account name is PBmommyPL. The more support the better! :) 

My time for Day One was 13 Minutes and 48 seconds. I'll post before pictures soon as well as my measurements! I'm just too tired right now! LOL! I worked my 3 jobs today. Did the warm up, workout and cool down and I still have homework to do for tomorrow! I tried to do the Bonus ab workout but realized quickly, my tailbone is not quite ready for that yet. :(  Take care, everyone and thanks for sticking with me!
